The Geneseo Farmers’ Market has a new home in the city park. The Saturday market can now be found on the north side of the park, on the old junior high school site. “This year, we’re on the old school site, but next year we’ll actually be on Pearl Street,” said farmers’ market organizer Amy Gadberry. Pearl Street divides the north and south portions of the city park.

From the moment Michelle Glazier walked into her first Jazzercise class, she knew she was hooked. Glazier wants to give others the chance to experience Jazzercise. At 8:15 a.m. July 12, Glazier will celebrate her 25th year of teaching Jazzercise with a special “instructors’ favorites” class at her Jazzercise facility, located at 215 Smith St, near Geneseo High School.

Mary Beth Farber of Geneseo enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking and one of her  favorite ways to entertain family or friends is by hosting a tea party. Her tea parties are something she has become very well known for and something she does as often as she can and for any number of reasons.

After nine years on the bench for the Geneseo High School volleyball team, head coach Carlyn McAvoy has decided to hang things up and focus on her family.

It was a long winding road with many miles traveled but Geneseo native  Bryan Glass has finally won his first marathon. On June 7, a sense of relief hit Glass as he crossed the finish line in first place with a time of two hours, 37 minutes and 44 seconds in the 35th Annual Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana Governor’s Cup in Helena, Mont.

With summer in full swing, it brings along with it the season of road races like the Bix 7 and the Quad City Marathon. And to get local runners to take on these feats, Hammond-Henry Hospital is offering The Summit Running Club.
