Raymond P  Stufflebeam, 82, of Geneseo, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at Geneseo Good Samaritan Village. A funeral service celebrating his life was held Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo. The Rev. Dr. Christopher Ritter officiated. Military honors were accorded by the Don Cherry Geneseo VFW Post No. 5083. Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the funeral home. Graveside services were held Wednesday at the Agency Cemetery, Agency, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

He was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Cuba, the son of Orval and Ethel Stufflebeam. He married Zelma Bailey Sept. 17, 1995, in Bandon-by-the-Sea, Oregon. He retired from John Deere Harvester Works and farmed in the Geneseo area. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Geneseo.

Survivors include his wife, Zelma; three sons, John Stufflebeam and his wife, Sunny, of Serena, and their children, Rick, Jeff, Michelle and Jessica; Terry Stufflebeam and his wife, Jeanne, of Colona, and their children, Tracey and Brad, and Michael Stufflebeam and his wife, Debra, of Indianapolis, Ind. and their children, Chris, Mariah, Alex and Teresa; one stepdaughter, Beth Roberts, and her husband, Ken, of East Moline and their children, Tess and Sadie; eight great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mary Ruth Meyer of Bandon, Ore. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Irene, and two sisters, Lavon and Beatrice.
