Agnes Yesinowski, 99, of Spring Valley, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Spring Valley Nursing Center where she resided for three years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 20, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Spring Valley with prayers at 10 a.m. at the Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley. The Rev. Robert Spilman will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery, Spring Valley. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Barton Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Margaret Hospice.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1913, in Spring Valley, the daughter of Joseph and Magdalen (Dragutis) Nauyalis. She married Andrew Yesinowski on April 21, 1945, at St.?Anne Catholic Church, Spring Valley. He died on Dec. 27, 1969. She and her husband owned an operated Andrew’s Jewelry and Gifts for 18 years in Oglesby where they resided. She also worked at Westclox and did war work in Chicago during World War II. She later provided child care for various families. Later in life, she took up and enjoyed oil painting. She was a member of St.?Anne Church and then Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Spring Valley.
Survivors include a son, James Yesinowski of Fort Washington, Md.; three daughters and spouse, Nancy and Jim Cassens of Geneseo, Lois Yesinowski of Peoria and Jane Yesinowski of Oglesby; a brother and spouse, Sam and Harriet Nauyalis of Spring Valley; a granddaughter, Valerie Kline; a grandson, Christopher Cassens; a great granddaughter, Penny; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Joe,?John and Francis; two sisters, Marge and (Nun) Sister Ladislaus.
