  • Mary M. Ryman, 96, of Geneseo, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Hammond-Henry Hospital’s Long Term Care Unit, Geneseo. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 24, at First United Methodist Church,?Geneseo. The Rev. Dr.?Chris Ritter officiated. Burial was in North Cemetery,?Geneseo. A visitation was held Monday,?April 23, at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services,?Geneseo and also prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church,?Geneseo or Geneseo Senior Citizens.
    She was born on May 1, 1915, in rural Toulon, the daughter of Robert and Alma Marie (Peterson)?Creasey. She graduated from Neponset High School in 1932. On April 3, 1941, she married Ronald S.?Ryman in Davenport, Iowa. They moved to Geneseo in 1947. He died on March 3, 2001. She worked at Walgreen’s in?Moline and Davenport and then at Carp’s Store in Geneseo. Memberships include: First United Methodist Church, Geneseo and the United Methodist Women of the church. She also had been a member of the former Corinthian Class at the church. Other memberships include: Geneseo Senior Citizens and A.A.R.P. Mary also enjoyed playing in several card clubs.
    Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Donald Miller of Geneseo; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald A. and Mary Ryman of Geneseo; four grandchildren, Micah Miller,?Amanda Witt, Sarah Ryman and Andrew Ryman; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and a brother.
