    Geneseo at Pekin Invite
The?Lady Leafs did what they set out to do this weekend, which as to win the April 20-21 Pekin Invite and they did, beating Grand Park and Peoria Christian, 8-0 and Pekin, 6-3.
“The tournament, as a whole, was good for us,” said head coach Ian Kline.?“The play on the field was good and the girls came out right away and played their game.
“We pretty much came out and dominated the first two games, although Peoria Christian was a little more challenging on Saturday morning. They made us work for it, but we got it done the way we were suppose to.”
“In the third game with Pekin, we came out and played well right away,” said Kline. “They made us work for it, kept pushing us, made us defend and work on attacking.”
    Geneseo vs. Sterling
Geneseo cruised to another NIB 12 victory April 19 as the Lady Leafs shutdown Sterling, 7-0 in Geneseo.
“Again, Sterling is a weaker team in the conference so we were able to play a lot of players and get them experience,” said Kline. “It was another game we used to get better.”
