Richmond Hill Players will present Phil Olson's holiday comedy, "A Nice Family Gathering."
The show will be staged Thursdays through Sundays, Nov. 8 through Nov. 18 at the Barn Theatre in Geneseo. The show is directed by Jennifer Kingry of Geneseo.
It's Thanksgiving Day, the first family gathering at the Lundeen household since the patriarch died 10 months ago. But Dad has returned, seen only by one of his grown sons, and he is a ghost on a mission — to tell his wife he loved her, something he neglected to say during 35 years of marriage. But she can neither see nor hear him, and his resentful son is a reluctant messenger. The plot thickens when they realize Mom has invited Dad's old golfing buddy to Thanksgiving dinner ... as her date.
Please note, this production contains some adult humor and is suitable for those age 13 and older.
The cast features: Andy Davis, Gregg Neuleib and Dana Skiles, all of Geneseo; Christopher Tracy of DeWitt, Iowa; Justin Raver of Kewanee; Liz Blackwell of Coal Valley; and Dianna McKune of Cambridge.
The cast includes stage manager Eugenia Giebel, props crew Jan Andersen and Hillary Minnaert, tech director Jennifer Kingry and set builders Nathan Johnson, Mike Skiles and John VanDeWoestyne, all of Geneseo.
During the run of "A Nice Family Gathering,' the Richmond Hill Players will sell raffle tickets for their "theater package," which includes season tickets to several area venues.
