Egan breaks records at Bellarmine University

Amanda Egan, a sophomore thrower for the Bellarmine University women’s track and field team in Louisville, Ky., participated in her first indoor meet of the 2012-13 season Dec. 8 at the UIndy Jerry England Alumni Open in Indianapolis, Ind. Egan set a personal record in the weight throw at 44-7 to take fifth. In the shot put, Egan shattered the Bellarmine indoor record that had stood since 2005 with a throw of 40-9 1/2 to place fourth. Egan now owns the Bellarmine University record in the indoor shot put and outdoor shot put and discus. She is a 2011 graduate of Geneseo High School.
