We can be influenced by someone else’s experience if it is different from our own. The tendency to compare ourselves to another is strong within our nature. The grass on the other side of the fence always appears greener, the presence greater.
How long will we choose not to see that each one is uniquely different? As no two snowflakes are the same, we are unique, one from another. Though the snowflakes gather together and seem to lose their identity, nothing has changed. Within the whole, they are unique and necessary.
The next time you have an opportunity to watch a snowflake on your windowpane, may you hear its message to you saying, “Look at me and see your uniqueness. Like me, you are the only “You” there is. Remember, God don’t make mistakes.”
