Snowflakes by the million filled the air, leaving the lone deer staring at the shadowy figure up the road. Only for a moment, mind you.
A second after I snapped this photograph, only the road and the snowflakes remained.
The deer had done its part; I heard it crashing though the snow-heavy underbrush.
I brushed the snowflakes off the camera and walked back to the house.
