A 3-year-old girl who has Spina bifida was subjected to a patdown and had her beloved stuffed animal taken away from her by TSA agents, according to news reports. The father of the girl said agents told them they were singling her out because she uses a wheelchair. But not only did TSA agents check her wheelchair, they took the girl’s stuffed animal away, causing her to cry, and patted her down (reports say the girl has part of her spinal cord exposed on her back as well). The mother recorded the incident and posted it to YouTube. Agents tried to tell her it was illegal to record them, but her attorney husband knew otherwise.
It’s Oscar weekend, and two new movies are opening in wide release ahead of the festivities: “Snitch,” a PG-13 action movie starring Dwayne Johnson; and “Dark Skies,” a PG-13 horror flick.
The Dow Jones opened at 13,880.62 after finishing down 46.92 points Thursday.

Viral music videos now impact the Billboard Hot 100. Baauer's “Harlem Shake” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, due in large to the amount of YouTube videos uploaded by fans. Billboard recently changed its format to include YouTube hits to determine the ranking of their charts. Gillian Pensavalle has the details.
