  • Harry E. Sedgwick, 71, of Hampton, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at his home. A visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 28 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary Ltd., East Moline. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1. The Rev. Paul Lindblad will officiate. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery following services.

  • Harry E. Sedgwick, 71, of Hampton, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at his home. A visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 28 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary Ltd., East Moline. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1. The Rev. Paul Lindblad will officiate. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery following services.
    He was born on April 7, 1941, in Rock Island, the son of Francis W. and Helen L. (Pouder) Sedgwick. He married Georganna Meyers at St. Mary’s on Nov. 4, 1961. He was a driver for UPS for 26 years, retiring in 1994. He loved people and telling jokes. He liked all sports and NASCAR. Harry was a true family man who loved his family dearly. He will be sadly missed.
    Survivors include his wife, Georganna; a son, Joe (Tammy) Sedgwick of Lost Nation, Iowa; daughters, Kelly (Mike) Chase of Hampton, Donna Sedgwick of Bedford, Texas, Victoria Cannon and boyfriend Mac McQueen of East Moline; grandchildren, Amanda (Bradi) Kipper of Bettendorf, Iowa, Annajo Sedgwick of Davenport, Iowa, Christopher Harvey of East Moline, Autumn Sedgwick of Lost Nation, Carson Harvey of East Moline, Bryce Chase of Hampton and Austin Sedgwick of Lost Nation; two great grandsons, Isaac and Owen Kipper of Bettendorf and a baby boy to join the family in May; and sisters, Dixie Kelley of Moline and Emma Sue (David) Goetz of Bettendorf. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
