  • Suzanne Bartlett on Thursday was identified as the 43-year-old Rushville woman killed in a Tuesday night collision on U.S. Route 67.
The two-vehicle crash fatally injured Bartlett, who was confirmed to have pass away by the Schuyler County coroner, and sent Timothy M. Michael, 32, of Wood River to Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.
At 10:55 p.m., a truck-tractor driven by Michael was northbound on Route 67 near the state Route 101 Littleton junction when cross winds caused him to lose control of his vehicle and hit a sport utility vehicle head-on. The SUV was driven by Bartlett.
Michael was treated on the scene for unspecified, minor injuries and transported to Culbertson. According to an Illinois State Police traffic crash report, Michael was cited for driving too fast for conditions and violation of the 14 hour rule.
According to her obituary from the Worthington Funeral Home, Bartlett was a longtime pharmacist at Walgreens in Macomb.

    Additional accident
Strong winds and snow-packed roads played a role in another crash on Route 67 late Tuesday.
At 11:01 p.m., a semi trailer driven by James G. Wilder, 48, of Hazelwood, Mo., was traveling north on U.S. 67 near the Littleton junction when strong winds caused him to lose control of his vehicle.
According to police reports, Wilder over-corrected and the semi overturned on the driver's side.
Wilder was extracted from the vehicle and transported to McDonough District Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
