Sheley advances to NCAA Wrestling Championships

Geneseo's Adam Sheley has advanced to the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships after he placed second at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional March 2 at 141 pounds for the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse wrestling team. Sheley went 3-1 for the day with wins over Wheaton's Jeremiah Brown by technical fall, 22-7 in 2 minutes and 11 seconds; a pin of North Central's Jonathan Williamson in 2:06; and a 3-2 decision win over UW-Whitewater's Jake Fredrickson. Sheley fell in the title bout to top-seeded Ryan Earley of Elmhurst in a 3-2 decision to place second.
