When out looking for a rainbow to capture for posterity, or at least until next week, all I saw were pokeweeds rustling in the wind, and starlings gone ragged thanks to Time and rough weather.
Then I looked up and saw a sundog.
Here it is, not the real sundog of course, but an image of the, ah, aerial canine that visited the western sky for a few moments a few days ago, only to disappear.
