  • Janet S. DeBlieck, 77, of Geneseo, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Hammond-Henry Hospital, Geneseo. A memorial visitation was held Monday, July 22 at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Geneseo. Graveside services followed at Spring Creek Cemetery, rural Atkinson. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

    Janet Paxson was born on April 1, 1936, in Annawan, the daughter of Orval and Goldie (Phillips) Paxson. She graduated from Geneseo High School and attended Western Illinois University, Macomb where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. She married Keith DeBlieck on Sept. 17, 1956, in Kansas City, Kan. He survives. Janet had worked at Haff's, King Kone, McNamara's and Guzzardo's, all in Geneseo. She enjoyed collecting bells and anything to do with her grandchildren. She also loved to go out to eat especially with her friend, Deloris Miller.
    Survivors include her loving husband, Keith; two sons, Todd (Rhonda) DeBlieck and Tim (Leah Gustafson) DeBlieck, all of Geneseo; a daughter, Tracey (Bob) Blair of Edgewood; Tracey's family and Janet's granddaughter, Nichole (Ryan) Davis of Indianapolis, Ind. with great grandsons, Keegan, Jace and Gunnar. Todd's family, Byron (Tori) Talbot of Longview, Wash. and their children, Riley and Kaitlynn, Derick (Melissa) Talbot of El Paso, Texas and their children, Christopher, Dakota and Andrew, and Trista (Matt) McMan of Colona. Tim's family, Edythe Gustafson of Geneseo and her son, Foster; and Raymond Gustafson of Geneseo. Also surviving is a brother, Orval "Sonny" (Mary) Paxson of Venice, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents.
