Jon David Becker, 51, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon. A visitation was held Friday, Oct. 4 at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, followed by a prayer service at the funeral. The Rev. Dr. Vincent O. Marrandino, director of pastoral care at KSB Hospital, Dixon, officiated. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial has been established.
He was born on Aug. 5, 1962, in Geneseo, the son of David T. and Gloria J. (Madsen) Becker. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Geneseo. He worked for Allied Lock in Dixon. Jon enjoyed fishing, camping, singing and playing the guitar.
Survivors include his loving companion of 18 years, Robin Brown of Dixon; mother, Gloria Becker of Morrison; his father, David (Cladene) Becker of Geneseo; one step-son, Robert (Dawn) Reglin of Manlius; one step-daughter, Jennifer (Brad) Ferris of Sterling; two step-sisters, Trudee (Joe) Hill of Dixon and Teresa (Bradley) Boraas of Sherrard; four step grandchildren, Benjamin and Griffin Morgan, both of Sterling and Carly Reglin and Austin MacQuarrie, both of Manlius.
