Warren Kenneth Drinkall, 78, of Annawan, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, in the emergency room of Kewanee Hospital. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at Vandemore Funeral Home Ltd., Atkinson. The Rev. Terry Lancaster will officiate. Burial will follow at Annawan Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Warren’s name to the Annawan/Alba Rescue Squad.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1935, in Spring Valley, Minn., the son of Bernice (Bauer) and Lloyd Drinkall. He married Monica (Smith-Briggs) on Nov. 27, 1965, in Spring Valley. He graduated from Wykoff High School in Minnesota. Warren and Monica moved to Annawan in 1972. He worked at the Chicago Atkinson Livestock Market until he retired in 1997. He enjoyed country music, fishing, watching western movies and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
Survivors include his wife, Monica; two sons, Craig (Michelle) of Hooppole and Kevin (Angela) of Kewanee; two step sons, Lonnie (Sue) of Mt. Horeb, Wis., and Jeff (Dee) of Princeton; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three siblings, Darrell (Vivian) Drinkall of Spring Valley, Minn., Larry (Clarice) Drinkall of Missouri and Marcella (Donald) Jonas of Good Hue, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald; and grandsons, Brandon and Dalton
