Trinity has added a new toll-free number for those uninsured community members wishing to set appointments to meet with specially trained Certified Application Counselors who can walk applicants through the Affordable Care Act insurance exchange marketplace enrollment process. There is no cost for an appointment.
The new phone number is 888-275-5235.
"Many times those without insurance don't seek care until a minor issue has become a full-blown problem," said Trinity President and CEO Rick Seidler. "Trinity offers these services to the communities at no cost because we realize enrollment today will lead to a healthier tomorrow."
Counselors will help explain the Affordable Care Act, the Health Insurance Marketplace, qualified health plans, eligibility, premium tax credits, cost-sharing reductions and penalties for non-enrollment. Individuals with income less than $45,960 or a family of four with income less than $94,200 a year will qualify for savings under the ACA. Varying assistance based off of income is also available.
Those making an appointment are asked to bring:
· Social Security numbers or document numbers for legal immigrants
· Employer and income information for household members applying for coverage (paystubs / W-2 forms / wage and tax statements)
· Policy numbers for current health insurance plans for your household
· Employee coverage tool sheet available at unitypoint.org/marketplace completed for every job-based plan that a household member is eligible for even if they are not currently enrolled.
