The Geneseo boys’ track and field team battled some of the area’s best at the April 25 Rock Island Invite and captured a sixth-place finish.

“This was a phenomenal meet for us,” said head coach Don Fredericks. “This 16-team field is one of the top invitationals in the state for the entire season, and for us to get sixth and beat some of the teams we did, we had a really good meet. I am really proud of the way the team competed.”

Geneseo’s field event athletes helped lead the way with 14 Top 5 finishes.
