When drivers gathered for a devotional service at Grattan Raceway before the green flag dropped on Sunday's races, a key person was missing.

What started as a small Geneseo preview show for the Antique Engine and Tractor Association’s annual fall show in Atkinson has grown into a full-fledged antique tractor show in its own right.
The 4th annual Antique Tractor Show will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 24 at Farm &  Fleet in Geneseo. The store itself is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day.

The Geneseo Republic has joined with  the photo company MyCapture to offer a wide array of products based on pictures appearing in the Republic. Reprints of all photos taken by Republic staff members and correspondents are available for purchase at the Republic’s Web site, www.geneseorepublic.com.

Tracy Ford of rural Geneseo has enjoyed every aspect of cooking since she was a young girl helping her mother in the kitchen. And her daughter, Emily, is carrying on the tradition by spending time in the kitchen working alongside Tracy preparing meals and treats for the family.

Another Geneseo football season is underway and this year’s Green Machine is sticking to its guns in hopes it will lead them to another NCIC championship.
 

Despite only having two players back with varsity playing experience, this year’s girls’ tennis team looks to still be in the hunt for a conference title.
