Robert L. Reddig, 84, of Geneseo, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at the Geneseo Good Samaritan Village. A funeral service celebrating his life was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, in Geneseo. Deacon Harley Chaffee officiated. Burial followed at North Cemetery, in Geneseo. A visitation was one hour (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.) prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the Robert L. Reddig Memorial Fund.

Robert was born June 3, 1932, in Milan, Ill., the son of LeRoy and Irene Reddig. He served our country in the U.S. National Guard. He was united in marriage to Alice Mae Heath on April 12, 1952, and she died on Feb. 24, 2013. Robert was the head produce buyer/vice president at the former Eagle Foods Warehouse, in Milan, for 40 years, from which he retired. He enjoyed fishing, camping and an occasional trip to the riverboat.

Survivors include his daughter, Cindy (Jack) Barnett, of Colona; son, Robert L. (Debra) Reddig, of Owasso, Okla.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Keith (Peggy) Reddig, of Colona; two nephews; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Alice.
