Geneseo Mayor Kathy Carroll-Duda was appointed to serve a one-year term on the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association board.

Geneseo Mayor Kathy Carroll-Duda was appointed to serve a one-year term on the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association board.

Carroll-Duda has served as a member of the board since July 23, 2016.

The Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association was formed in 1981 to stabilize costs and provide liability, property and workers’ compensation coverage needed specifically for municipalities.

“My time on the board has been valuable and interesting, and I am pleased to continue serving in 2017,” said Carroll-Duda.

Carroll-Duda started her first term as Geneseo mayor on April 12, 2016, after serving one year as alderman for the fourth ward.

A native of Geneseo, Kathy has lived there for nearly 40 years. She has degrees in fashion merchandising and industrial engineering and a master’s in business administration. She has worked in the clothing industry as a buyer and manager, and in the manufacturing industry as an industrial engineer, buyer and quality engineer.
