Joyce A. Robinson, 77, of Geneseo, formerly of Cambridge, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society, Geneseo Village. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services. The Rev. Randall Swanson officiated. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, in Cambridge. A visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cambridge Lutheran Church.

Joyce Alta Moore was born Feb. 10, 1939, in Kewanee, the daughter of Gail and Marjorie Peterson Moore. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1957 and attended Illinois State University, in Normal, for one year. Joyce transferred to Northern Illinois University, in DeKalb, and received her bachelor’s degree from there in 1961. Her marriage to Larry Robinson took place on Aug. 8, 1971, in Cambridge.

She taught at AIC Business School, in Davenport, Iowa, for one year. Joyce taught at Minooka High School for two years and Cambridge Grade School for six years. She then taught at Cambridge High School from 1971 to 1994. Joyce was confirmed in the Cambridge Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; a daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Brent Kruger, of Dixon; a son, Brett Robinson, of Camdenton, Mo.; three grandchildren, Hailey (Matthew) Whitaker, Nathan (Emily) Kruger and Alyssa Kruger; and a sister, Shirley (Glen) Orr, of Mount Morris. Her parents and a brother, Donald Moore, preceded her in death.
