Connie Lou Daugherty, 73, of Geneseo, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at her home after a short battle with acute myeloid leukemia. At her request, no services will be held. Donations in her honor may be made to UnityPoint Hospice - Quad Cities.

Connie Lou Daugherty, 73, of Geneseo, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at her home after a short battle with acute myeloid leukemia. At her request, no services will be held. Donations in her honor may be made to UnityPoint Hospice - Quad Cities.

Connie was born April 7, 1944, in Princeton, the daughter of Marshall and Cleta Stutzman. She graduated from Buda High School and Midstate College, in Peoria. She worked at Jostens in Princeton where she met her future husband, William Daugherty. They married in 1969 and ran their own recognition award business, first in Crystal Lake and later in Geneseo. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, home decorating, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter, Julie (Scott) Prigge, of Port Byron; son, Craig (Kristi) Daugherty, of Edelstein; grandchildren, Hannah and Sarah Prigge and Camille, Nadine and Hank Daugherty; brother, Donald Stutzman, of Geneseo; and sister, Judith (Gary) Clark, of Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Dolores Barnett.
