Jean E. Wildemuth, 90, of Prophetstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at Prophets River View Good Samaritan Nursing Home. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, in Prophetstown. A visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, in Prophetstown. Memorials may be made to St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church or Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Nursing Home. McDonald Funeral Home, of Prophetstown, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jean was born May 2, 1927, in Anna, the daughter of William and Sarah L. (Machleith) Anderson. She married Dale E. Wildemuth on Aug. 20, 1947, at St. Malachy Catholic Church, in Geneseo. Jean was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, in Prophetstown, and a member of the Card Club. Jean was known for her baking talent for pies and her fried chicken.

Survivors include her husband, Dale; daughter, Christine (Frederick) Palmer, of Downers Grove; son, Derek (Cyndee) Wildemuth, of Prophetstown; two grandchildren, Matthew (Alyson) Palmer and Jill (Kevin) Henthorn; and two great grandchildren, James and Sarah Henthorn. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Janet Wangeline and Joyce Serckie; and her brother, Charles Anderson.
