Mark Kuhn has been named the new CEO of Hammond-Henry Hospital, in Geneseo. His first day will be Monday, Oct. 23.

Kuhn has more than 31 years of healthcare experience.

He was a senior leader at Lake Forest Hospital, and has spent the past 17 years with the Springfield Clinic as its Chief Administrative Officer.

Springfield Clinic is a multi-specialty physician group with 30 practice locations including rural clinics, and more than 400 physicians and advanced practitioners.

His duties there included responsibility for many departments and functions similar to Hammond Henry Hospital, said interim

As such, he brings significant experience with physician recruitment and practice, business development, contract negotiations, and clinical financial management.

Kuhn and his wife, Judy, are originally from the region and plan to become involved with the Geneseo community.
