Kevin G. DeJaeger, 59, of Geneseo, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Trinity ICU, in Bettendorf, Iowa. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27 at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, in Geneseo. The Rev. Lynn Bergren will officiate. A visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Memorials may be left to the Geneseo Humane Society. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

Kevin was born June 6, 1958, in Moline, the son of Gerald R. and Sharon (Johnson) DeJaeger. He was a Geneseo High School Class of 1976 graduate, and later graduated from Marycrest College with a master’s degree in computer science. He married Mary Ann Levine-McHaney, the couple later divorced. Kevin married Kathryn L. Roth on July 21, 2001, in Geneseo. Kevin was working as a network analyst for United Health, and had been employed there for more than 30 years. He was a very talented computer and electronics technician. Kevin loved doing yard work and was looking forward to flying the drone he had just bought. Kevin loved his cat, Joe, and his dogs, Skipper and Bella. He was a member of the Geneseo Moose Lodge and First Lutheran Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kathy DeJaeger; father, Gerald DeJaeger; son, Darren (Dana) DeJaeger, of Winter Park, Fla.; and daughter Tara (Ralph) Roman, of Dixon. He has three grandchildren, Benjamin, Shae and Aiden. He also is survived by a brother, Kenneth DeJaeger, of Norwalk, Conn.; and a sister, Kathleen DeJaeger, of Geneseo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon DeJaeger, on Sept. 20, 2017.
