Ann Elizabeth Lizotte, 83, of Geneseo, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at New Perspective Senior Living, in Silvis. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8 at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, in Geneseo. The Rev. Melva England officiated. Burial followed at North Cemetery. A visitation was from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church, in Geneseo, or the Geneseo Humane Society.

Ann was born Nov. 3, 1933, in Winsted, Conn., the daughter of Claude and Margery (Smith) Kenney. She graduated from Gilbert High School. Ann was united in marriage to Augustin “Augie” Lizotte on May 30, 1953, in Winsted. Augie preceded her in death in 2005. Ann worked as a homemaker during her life, raising two sons and a daughter. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, in Geneseo, where she was active in the Rose Circle of the church, as well as several other committees. Ann was a member of Christian Women’s Club for 27 years. She enjoyed reading, taking walks, and had an immense passion for her pets.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Thomas (Leslie) Lizotte, of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine; and Gary (Robin) Lizotte, of Apple Valley Lake, Ohio; and her daughter, Betsey (Richard) Morthland, of Cordova. Her grandchildren are: Andrew, Patrick, Robert (April) and Christian (Lauren) Lizotte; Bethany (Nicholas) Paxton; and Eliza Morthland; and her great-grandchildren are Jude and Robert Jr. Also surviving are her cousin, Barbara Sharfman, of Connecticut; and her special friend, Bernie DeKezel, of Geneseo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Margery; two husbands, Thomas Lowrey and Augustin Lizotte; and her sister, Jane.
