Roger W. Miller, 77, of Geneseo, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Hammond-Henry Hospital Long Term Care, in Geneseo. A graveside inurnment ceremony was at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15 at Oakwood Cemetery, in Geneseo. Deacon Harley Chaffee officiated. Memorials may be directed to the Geneseo Humane Society. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.

Roger was born Sept. 14, 1940, in Geneseo, the son of Ralph W. and Maxine E. (Lund) Miller. He graduated from Geneseo High School. Roger worked for John Deere Plow Works as a repairman and inspector for 44 years before his retirement in 2008. Roger was a member of the Lutheran faith. He loved his home and took great pride in taking care of it and his yard. Roger enjoyed trips to the casino and loved spending time with his dogs.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Frances (William) Westerlund, of Orion; special friends, Debbie Campbell and Mike Johnson; and six nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Maxine; and his brother, William R. Miller.
