Dawn Meier, 61, of Prophetstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 at Resthave Nursing Home, in Morrison. A visitation was from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 at the McDonald Funeral Home, in Prophetstown. A funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 at the funeral home. The Rev. Jan Shaulis, of Leon United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial followed at Lyndon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. McDonald Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dawn was born May 25, 1956, in Moline, the daughter of Lawrence and Muriel (Jacobs) Neyrinck. She married Arlyn Meier on March 14, 1975, in Lyndon. Dawn was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Arlyn Meier, of Prophetstown; two sons, Shaun (Erica) Meier, of Erie; and Eric (Angie) Meier, of Prophetstown; two sisters, Toni Drilling, of Tampico; and Cindy (Dick) DeSmith, of Atkinson; two brothers, Marty (Cindy) Neyrinck, of Dixon; and Andy (Debbie) Neyrinck, of Bettendorf, Iowa; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers-in-law, Terry Drilling and Tony Camacho.
