Clifford J. Sichta Jr., 73, of Geneseo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, in Bettendorf, Iowa, surrounded by loving family. Per his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Quad Cities Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements.

Clifford J. Sichta Jr., 73, of Geneseo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, in Bettendorf, Iowa, surrounded by loving family. Per his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Quad Cities Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements.

Cliff was born Dec. 19, 1944, in Washington, D.C., the son of Clifford and Virginia Cuno Sichta. He graduated from Illinois Wesleyan, the Class of 1966, and was a member of the Acacia Fraternity. Cliff was an “Insurance Wizard” and worked as a C.P.C.U.-certified underwriter for Lohman Bros., in Geneseo, and Lyle R. Jager Agency, in Kewanee. Cliff enjoyed the study of theology, woodworking and playing golf.

Survivors include his former wives, Pam Zweng and Carol Mayo; sons, Joe (Kim) Sichta, of Malibu, Calif.; and Jeff (Kelly) Sichta, of Gretna, Neb.; daughters, Maggie (Lou) Kinnamon, of Mahomet; Jessica (John) Gilligan, of Naperville; and Rebecca (Trent) Proehl, of Tremont; grandchildren, Jake, Nina, Nicole, Arielle, Marissa, Delainie, Kyle, Kade, Kara, Annabel, Ryan, Carlie, Alida and Ava; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Pia) Sichta, of Bradenton, Fla.; and sisters, Marge (Jerry) Misek, of Elizabeth; and Sue (Jim) VerHage, of Beverly Hills, Mich. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson, Sailor.
