Dan Bebber, 71, of Geneseo, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 12, 2018, in the emergency room at Hammond-Henry Hospital, in Geneseo. A funeral service was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16 in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th St., in Moline, with visitation one hour before the services. Cremation took place at Trimble Crematory following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of Christ, in Geneseo. Danny Wayne Bebber was born Dec. 14, 1946, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Mildred (Cheek) Bebber. He married Patricia Lulow on April 2, 1970, in Rock Island. Dan served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He then worked for Illinois Veterans Affairs as Veteran Service Officer for Rock Island County for 22 years, retiring in 2016. He was a member of the Reynolds American Legion, an avid baseball card collector and New York Yankees fan, and walked a mile every day.

Dan is survived by his wife, Patricia; three children and spouses, Scott and Veronica Bebber, of Augusta, Ga.; Jennifer Bebber, of Rock Island; and Carrie and Patrick Schmidt, of Geneseo; six grandchildren, Danny, Ryan, Caitlin, Skylar, Jacob and Justin; one great-grandson, Gabriel; and a sister, Penny McIntyre. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Connie; and a brother, Buddy.
