Dorothy L. Crandall, 89, of Prophetstown, died Friday, June 22, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society - Prophets Riverview Center, in Prophetstown. A service was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27 at the Gibson-Bode Funeral Home, in Erie. A visitation was from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, in Prophetstown. Memorials may be made to the Henry County Humane Society - Geneseo.

The former Dorothy Louise Egert was born Dec. 15, 1928, in Loraine Township, rural Prophetstown, the daughter of Bernard and Elfie (Remme) Egert. She first married Don Keag, to which her two children were born. He preceded her in death in 1962. She was then married to Ray Heinsen until his death in 1990. Dorothy married a third time to Harold Crandall. He preceded her in death in 2008.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, was an avid reader and liked to work on crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Joel) Lacy; son, Larry (Teresa) Keag; grandson, Don Temple; and granddaughter, Tabatha Johnson (Josh), all of Erie; a sister, Lois Drummet, of Prophetstown, as well as numerous stepchildren and step-grandchildren. In addition to her three husbands, Dorothy was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jim Temple; sister, Mary Strohman; and three brothers, Lester, Basil and Arlyn Egert.
