Bill Jo Wigant, 60, of Geneseo, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in Louisville, Tenn. A celebration of life will be at 5 p.m. Friday, July 20 at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, in Geneseo. The Rev. Stephen Mueller will give a service for the family at 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Billy Jo Wigant Memorial Fund.

Bill Jo Wigant, 60, of Geneseo, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in Louisville, Tenn. A celebration of life will be at 5 p.m. Friday, July 20 at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, in Geneseo. Billy was born July 30, 1957, the son of Henry “Bud” Wigant and Carlene (Weidman-Wigant) DeBlieck. He graduated from J.D. Darnall High School. Billy worked as a carpenter at Hazelwood Homes for many years. His experience and craftsmanship with wood led him to move to Tennessee in 2002, where he was able to pursue his talents, as well as fishing and outdoor activities.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Patricia (Joseph) Fritsch, of Geneseo; and Linda (Craig) Klavon, of Kewanee; brothers, Jerry (Monica) Wigant, of Missouri; and David (Chona) Wigant, of California; step-sisters, Sue (Mike) Zabilla, of Minnesota; and Sally Schmoll, of Iowa; and step-brother, Danny Schmoll, of Iowa. Billy also is survived by his nieces and nephews, Teresa Fritsch; Elizabeth (Tim) Rogers; Robert (Ashlie) Klavon; Jamey (Dominique) Valdez; Alyssa and Kirsten Wigant; and Scott, Kara and Rachel Zabilla; a great-niece, Charlotte Fritsch; and great-nephews, Eli and Sawyer Klavon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Carlene; stepfather, Marvin DeBlieck; stepmother, Nelda (Schmoll) Wigant; his grandparents, Katherine and John Wigant, Alfred and Ella Weidman and Louis Warkins.
