Geneseo police officers will show their support for breast cancer patients and survivors by wearing special pink shoulder patches.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

From now until the end of October, the department will accept donations to benefit Hammond-Henry Hospital’s Women’s Health Services.

With a donation of $10 or more, an individual will receive a pink Geneseo police patch. The patch is an identical match to the shoulder patches that will be worn by officers for the entire month of October.

Police department staff members also will take part by wearing pink in October.

Donations may be made at the Geneseo Police Department. For more information, phone 944-5141.
