Cornelia A. Arnold, 64, of Geneseo, died on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society Geneseo Village, surrounded by her family after her courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 8, at Vandemore Funeral Home and Crematory, Geneseo Chapel. Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo. Memorials may be directed to the Geneseo Humane Society.

Cornelia A. Arnold, 64, of Geneseo, died on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society Geneseo Village, surrounded by her family after her courageous battle with cancer. Cornelia was born on Oct. 14, 1953, in Moline, the daughter of Frank and Madeline (Lloyd) Brand. She graduated from United Township High School with the class of 1971. She was united in marriage to Vincent C. Arnold on Nov. 6, 1971, in East Moline. Vincent preceded her in death in 2012. Cornelia retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier after 32 years of service, in October of 2017. She enjoyed driving through the countryside and enjoying the views while she worked. Cornelia loved going to garage sales and watching QVC shows. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Rahmus, of Geneseo; grandchildren, Brian (Sawyer) Rahmus and Chelsea Rahmus; and great-grandchildren, Remington, Hayden, and Adalynn. Cornelia is also survived by her brothers, Robert (Karen) Bowling of Moline, and James (Joyce) Bowling of Moline; sisters, Debbie Brooks of Geneseo, and Linda (Steve) Montecino of Colona; and sisters-in-law, Becky (Rob) Hurless of Prophetstown, and Debbie (Harold) Long of Estherville, Iowa.

Cornelia was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Madeline; husband, Vincent; three sisters; Jackie Moore, Donna Crull, and Billie Brown.
