Imogene “Ima” F. DeDecker, 71, of Marion, Iowa, passed away from complications due to cancer at St. Luke’s Hospice, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018. Private funeral services will be at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, in Geneseo. Deacon Harley Chaffee will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, in Cambridge.

Imogene “Ima” F. DeDecker, 71, of Marion, Iowa, passed away from complications due to cancer at St. Luke’s Hospice, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018. Ima was born May 4, 1947, in Geneseo, the daughter of Francis and Leota Williams. She was a 1965 graduate of Geneseo High School. Ima was united in marriage to Lynn M. DeDecker on June 3, 1967, at St. Malachy Catholic Church, in Geneseo. Ima held several roles in the banking industry for 26 years. Ima enjoyed her exquisite flower garden, home decorating, reading, and having coffee with her friends. Most of all, Ima adored spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them, especially at Christmas. She also loved shopping with her own daughter, Abby. Ima always put the interests and needs of others ahead of her own.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lynn DeDecker, of Marion, Iowa; son, Todd (Janna) DeDecker, of Andover; daughters, Shelli (Aaron) Lytle, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Abby DeDecker, of Marion, Iowa. Her grandchildren are: Addisen, Amara and Evan Lytle, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Danielle and Erica DeDecker, of Kitchener, Ontario. Ima also is survived by sisters, Peggy Williams, Rosetta Peiffer, Brenda (Greg) VanOpdorp and brother, Rodney (Janice) Williams, all of Geneseo. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew.
