Frieda D. Couve, 90, of Geneseo, formerly of Atkinson, died Monday, July 19, 2010, at Geneseo Good Samaritan Village. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Church of Peace, rural Kewanee. The Rev. Dan Craig will officiate. Burial will be in the Church of Peace Cemetery, Kewanee. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Vandemore Funeral Home Ltd., Geneseo. She was born Aug. 9, 1919, in Kewanee, the daughter of Albert and Lydia (Mueller) Bailleu. She attended Kewanee schools. She married William A. Couve Aug. 17, 1940, in Kewanee. He died in 2002. She assisted her husband farming in rural Atkinson for many years. She was a member of Church of Peace, Lydia Circle, and Church Women’s Guild.
She loved working outdoors and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters and spouses, Linda and Jim Carton of Atkinson and Edith and Doug Block of Pearl City; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Hackwith, in 1999, and two brothers, Herman and Arnold.

Richard E. Fuller, 79, of Geneseo, died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society, Geneseo. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 2, at 6 p.m. at Geneseo First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Christopher Ritter officiating. A gathering of friends will be held following the memorial service, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Senior Citizens’ Room at the Geneseo Community Center.
