Leroy Lohman Memorial Invitational
The Maple Leafs held the Leroy Lohman Memorial Invitational at Lee’s Lanes with eight teams in the competition on Nov. 12.
St. Bede won the team title with a team pinfall of 5,347, and the individual high series belonged to Abingdon’s Dalton Gabbert from with a 1,223 pinfall.
Geneseo finished seventh in the team competition with a 4,867 team total, and Kyler Rusk had the Leafs’ high six-game individual series with a 1,094 pinfall.
Geneseo’s Trent Schulz was sixth after the opening three games with a 545 series, and he finished with a 1,063 pinfall.
The Leafs’ Kyle Cones notched a six-games series of 1,061, and Braden Keller finished with a 905 total.
Geneseo’s Zach Cowan finished with a 292 total after two games, Ross Chapman finished with a two-game total of 227, and Connor LeGrand rolled a two-game total of 225.
Dixon at Geneseo
The Maple Leafs nabbed a 3,320-2,855 victory over the Dukes during Geneseo’s first ever home meet on Nov. 15.
Geneseo’s Rusk had the highest overall three-game series with a 687.
Rusk also finished with the individual high game with a 257.
Geneseo’s Cones rolled his way to a 601 series, and Alex Williams finished with a 599.
Schulz tallied a 591 pinfall for the Leafs, and Keller finished with a 503 total.
Geneseo’s Jacob Verplaetse finished with a 339 total.
In the JV competition, Geneseo’s Ross Chapman rolled his way to a 360 total, and Braden Reis put together a three-game score of 345.
Geneseo’s next competition will be against some of the state’s best teams at the Rockford Guilford Invite at Don Carter Lanes in Rockford on Saturday, Nov. 19 starting at 12:30 p.m.
