The Lady Leafs earned a pair of individual first-place finishes and landed runner-up in the team competition at the Geneseo Invitational at Bob Reade Field on April 21.

Geneseo’s 4x400-meter relay team of Julia Poel, Rebekah Beard, RaeLynn Versluys and Josie Brown finished off meet by winning the event in 4:20.9.

A senior, Madison Munoz won the pole vault title for the Leafs clearing a height of 7’6”.

Geneseo’s Alexys Johnson finished in a tie for second in the pole vault clearing 7’, and Emily Ryerson cleared 6’ to finish in fourth.

In the 800 run, Geneseo’s Brown ran to a second-place time of 2:23.0.

Brown had been hit hard by injuries during track and cross country season the past few years.

After making it through basketball season injury free, she was able to start training for track season on time and has found a perfect role for herself.

“I’m not where I expected to be in the 800,” Brown said. “I’m grateful to be where I am now without injuries or anything. I’m really thankful for that. It’s given me the chance to kind of prove what I can do, just having the chance to start with everyone and not be behind.”

Geneseo’s Anna Girten finished sixth in the 800, and Anna Pierce finished seventh in 2:41.1.

In the discus, Geneseo’s Katherine Beeson finished runner-up with a throw of 98’1”.

Lindsey Francque tossed a personal record throw of 96’3” to finish in third place in the discus, and Morgan May finished fourth with a throw of 89’2”.

Kelsey Olson was runner-up in the shot put with a throw of 32’2”.

May was fifth with a throw of 30’3”, and Sairrah Tumbarello had a PR throw of 26’7.5” to take 11th place.

Geneseo’s Rebekah Beard finished runner-up in the triple jump with a distance of 32’1”.

Adia Raya added a fifth-place distance of 27’11” in the triple jump, and Lilly Henderson came in sixth with a PR of 27’9.5”.

The Leafs’ 4x200 relay of Dani Clary, Sarah Korthals, Isabel Sierra and Cameron Oney finished runner-up with a time of 1:58.4.

Geneseo’s Reece Bodeen came in third in the 100 dash in 13.29.

Sierra raced to eighth in the 100 in 14.07, and Johnson placed 10th in 14.18.

Dani Clary had a solid performance in the 200 taking third in 28.46.

Geneseo’s Bodeen clocked in sixth in the 200 (29.36), and Cameron Oney finished in 30.1.

The Leafs’ 4x800-meter relay of Emma Alexander, Clare LeGrand, Veronica Eilers and Claire Hall finished in third place with a time of 11:31.4.

Poel, Sierra, Beard and Bodeen teamed up for a third-place finish in the 4x100 relay (53.67).

In the high jump, Dani Clary tied for fourth clearing a height of 4’8”.

Ryerson came in seventh with a height of 4’4”, and Korthals was eighth with a height of 4’4”.

Johnson nabbed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 14’4”, and Sierra finished with a PR distance of 13’8.5”.

Geneseo’s Raya claimed fourth in the 3200 run in 14:29.8, and Poel raced to fourth in the 400 dash in 1:03.9.

In the 100 high hurdles, Versluys was fourth with a personal record of 18.14, and Henderson finished ninth in 21.14.

Versluys added a sixth-place time of 1:06.1 in the 400, and Bodeen finished eighth in 1:09.5.

Diana Scherer ran down fourth in the 300 hurdles in 53.97, and Henderson had a PR time of 59.91.

In the 1600 run, Geneseo’s Hall came in fifth in 6:11.2.

Eilers added a sixth-place time of 6:18.9 in the 1600, and Alexander finished seventh in 6:20.8.
