Geneseo at Rochelle

The Lady Leafs scored seven goals in the first half on their way to a 7-2 victory on May 4.

Geneseo’s Heather Dietrich scored the opening goal in the second minute of the match, and Keeli Frerichs scored just a few minutes later with assists from Tori Verbeck.

The Lady Leafs’ Kennady Thies scored to give Geneseo a 3-0 lead just under 14 minutes into the game.

Lauren Henderson found the net for Geneseo, and Dietrich tacked on another score.

Geneseo’s Lainie Dahl scored, and Lauren Murray made it 7-0 before halftime.

Geneseo at Moline

The Lady Leafs scored a pair of second-half goals to boot their way past the Maroons 3-0 at Browning Field on May 8.

Geneseo’s Dietrich scored a pair of goals, and the Leafs’ Paige Gramling scored with an assist from Frerichs in the second half.

Geneseo’s Taylor Magerkurth stopped six shots on net for the shutout.

Sterling at Geneseo

The Lady Leafs’ seniors led the way to a 4-0 victory on Senior Night against the Golden Warriors at the Geneseo Soccer Pitch on May 9.

Geneseo scored a pair of goals in the first half and took down Northern Illinois Big 12 rival Sterling 4-0.

Geneseo’s Gramling slipped past the Golden Warriors’ defense and put away an easy shot from close range to give Geneseo an early lead.

The Leafs’ Dahl made an outstanding play fighting through contact from a Sterling defender to hook a shot around the keeper to give Geneseo a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Rachel Daniels scored, and freshman Keeli Frerichs found the net in the second half.

Magerkurth earned the shutout in net, and Geneseo moved to 14-3 on the season.

The Lady Leafs’ soccer team will host Galesburg in the Class 2A Geneseo Regional Semifinal game on Tuesday, May 16 at 4:30 p.m.
