Rochelle at Geneseo

The Lady Leafs defeated Rochelle 10-0 in six innings on a memorable Senior Night at JF Edwards Complex on May 11.

Geneseo’s Hannah Tesmond hit a two-run double to end the game in the sixth inning, and Sydney Himmelman had a big game with three hits and a RBI.

Geneseo’s Maddie Mackey earned the win pitching six innings of shutout ball.

Mackey allowed one hit with no walks while striking out seven.

Breanna Jones finished with three hits including a triple, and Briley Koberlein had a pair of hits.

Kayla Johnson drove in a pair of runs, and Lauren Denney singled and scored a run.

GHS’ Caitlin Gilmore hit a pair of doubles, and Jasmine McCormick had a pair of hits and drove in two runs.

Geneseo at Princeton

The Lady Leafs trounced the Lady Princes 11-0 in five innings at Princeton High School on May 12.

Delaney Ostrowski earned her third win in the circle this season.

Ostrowski pitched three innings allowed two hits with one walk while striking out three.

Jane Thomas finished out the game pitching two innings and striking out five.

Gilmore finished 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs, and Mackey smacked a pair of doubles and drove in three runs.

McCormick tallied a hit and drove in a run, and Denney had a hit and a RBI.

Anna McAvoy drove in a run on a hit, and Jones finished with a pair of singles.

Ava Bieneman finished with a pair of singles.

Moline at Geneseo

The Lady Leafs’ Ostrowski singled home the game-winner in the bottom of the 11th for a 5-4 victory against the Maroons at the JF Edwards Complex on May 15.

McCormick doubled to tie the game in the sixth inning, and the game remained tied until Ostrowski’s single pushed across Gilmore for the game-winner in the 11th.

Thomas was solid in the circle pitching six innings allowing three runs on seven hits with two walks while striking out two.

Mackey pitched two innings of relief giving up one run and striking out two.

Ostrowski was spectacular out of the pen pitching three shut down innings allowing two hits with no walks and two strikeouts.

With Geneseo trailing 4-1, the Lady Leafs scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth with Gilmore and Allison Yager each hitting a RBI.

McCormick tallied two RBIs on two hits including a double, and Yager finished with three hits and a RBI.

Mackey slashed three hits including a double, and Jones finished with a pair of hits including a double.

Geneseo will hit the road for a rematch with Moline on Friday, May 19 at 4:30 p.m.
