The Lady Leafs’ golf team earned a victory on Senior Night, won the Geneseo Invitational for the first time in school history, competed at the Galesburg Triangular and battled LaSalle-Peru in a dual match.

Geneseo Triangular

The Lady Leafs added to the Senior Night festivities with a team victory at Geneseo Country Club on Sept. 13.

Geneseo’s Jenna Cheek was the individual champion with a 42, and senior Carson Dodge fired a 45.

The Lady Leafs’ Elizabeth Roodhouse shot a 47, and Lauren Murray finished with a 48.

Emma Snell carded a 49, and Eryn Murray finished with a 50.

Geneseo Invitational

The Lady Leafs made sure the trophy for their invite was staying in Geneseo.

The Leafs’ Cheek was the individual medalist with a personal best 81, and Geneseo won the team title in the six-team field at Sugar Maple Golf Club, on Sept. 16.

GHS’ Lauren Murray was runner-up with a 92, and Eryn Murray finished third with a 94.

Snell carded a 96 to finish in sixth place, and Roodhouse finished in seventh place with a 98.

Geneseo’s Dodge fired a 100 to land ninth place.

The Lady Leafs’ JV team played well enough to take fourth among the varsity squads.

Geneseo’s Eleni Andrios led the way with a 10th place finish with a 103, and Heather Dietrich finished with a 104.

The Lady Leafs’ Miranda Bolte shot a 120, and Paige Laingen finished with a 124.

Andie Welch carded a 125, and Rachel Vondra finished with a 126.

Galesburg Triangular

Geneseo finished runner-up behind the host Silver Streaks at Lake Bracken Golf Course on Sept. 18.

Galesburg (178) edged Geneseo (181) by three strokes with Erie coming in third (196).

Cheek finished with the low round for Geneseo with a 43, and Roodhouse was a few strokes back with a 45.

The Leafs’ Eryn Murray shot a 46, and Snell finished with a 47.

Dodge carded a 48, and Lauren Murray finished with a 52.

LaSalle-Peru Triangular

The Lady Leafs (182) earned the team title over the runner-up Sterling (210) with the Lady Cavaliers (225) coming in third at Oakridge Golf Course on Sept. 19.

Geneseo’s Cheek earned medalist honors with a 43, and Roodhouse finished with a 45.

The Leafs’ Eryn Murray and Lauren Murray each shot a 47.

Snell carded a 49, and Dodge finished with a 51.

The Geneseo JV team (211) finished a stroke behind Sterling’s varsity team.

Geneseo’s Dietrich shot a 47, and Andrios finished with a 54.

Laingen fired a 55, and Vondra finished with a 55.

The Leafs’ Welch carded a 57, and Bolte finished with a 58.

The Lady Leafs’ next round will be at the Galesburg Invite at Bunker Links, in Galesburg, on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 8 a.m.
