Rock Island Gold Invite

Geneseo picked up a 3-1 victory over Galesburg and fell against Alleman 3-1 on Sept. 30.

Against Galesburg, Emma Dunker fought her way to a 6-1, 5-7 (10-8) victory at No. 1 singles.

Geneseo’s Jane Thomas and Bryann Brophy cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles, and Mary Thomas and Madi Miller picked up a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles.

Against Alleman, Geneseo’s Mary Thomas and Madi Miller nailed down a 6-1, 6-0 victory.

Mendota at Geneseo

The Lady Leafs swept Mendota at Richmond Hill, on Oct. 2.

The Leafs’ Brophy won the No. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-1, and Dunker won the No. 2 singles match 6-3, 6-4.

Madi Miller and Jane Thomas notched a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles, and Mary Thomas and Gracie Strohm finished off a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.

Geneseo’s Ava Bieneman and Kaitlyn Webster earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.

In JV matches the Lady Leafs continued to bag wins.

Alison Bowers and Brooke Harms picked up an 8-6 victory, and Chloe Adams and Emma Claeys finished with an 8-5 win.

Katerina Eilers and Alli Miller nabbed an 8-2 victory, and Ali Craig and Emma Slaymaker earned an 8-3 win.

GHS’ Elizabeth Manthe and Emily Roberts scored an 8-5 win, and Jade Jones and Henna Griffin pulled out an 8-6 victory.

Hannah Rakestraw and Emily Yost notched an 8-4 win, and Alyssa Vavrosky and Katelyn Johnson earned an 8-6 victory.

The Lady Leafs’ Halle Houston and Elisa Schmitt won an 8-6 battle, and Anslee Plasschaert and Elizabeth Yost fought for an 8-8 (15-13) win in a tiebreaker.
