The Geneseo boys’ cross country team had every member finish in the top 25 at the Class 2A Peoria Notre Dame Regional.

The Maple Leafs’ Blake Duncan paced Geneseo with a third-place finish in 17:32, at Donovan Park, in Peoria, on Oct. 21.

Peoria Notre Dame (35 points) earned the regional crown with Alleman finishing runner-up (37 points) and Geneseo (64 points) third among a nine-team field.

Both PND and Alleman are ranked among the top 25 Class 2A teams in Illinois by il.milesplit.com.

A freshman, William Plumley had a solid postseason debut racing to a 11th place finish in 18:30.

Geneseo’s Raymond Venneberg came in 15th place in 18:44, and Colby Rapps finished 17th in 18:49.

The Leafs’ Andrew Rizzo ran down 18th place in 18:55, and Neo Colter finished 19th in 18:56.

A freshman, Geneseo’s Rafe Morrison finished 21st in 19:02.

The Maple Leafs were separated from first to fifth by a 1:22.5, and Geneseo was separated first to seventh by 1:29.8.

The top five teams, and top seven individuals not on an advancing team at the Normal University Sectional, will advance to the state meet at Detweiller Park, in Peoria, on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Noon.
