Geneseo at DeKalb

Kyler Rusk and Kyle Cones were the dynamic duo for the Maple Leafs at Mardi Gras Lanes.

Rusk rolled his way to a meet-high three-game series of 641, and Cones finished with a 632 series.

Rusk added a single game high of 260 to start the dual, and Cones finished with a game of 246.

Geneseo was defeated by DeKalb 3442-3129, in DeKalb, on Dec. 12.

The Leafs’ Logan Munoz rolled his way to a 517 series, and Braeden Keller finished with a 459 series.

GHS’ Sebastian Einfeldt landed with a 449 series, and Tyler Durnell finished with a 431 series.

The Leafs’ Kaden Splear rolled a 526 series to the Geneseo’s JV team.

Geneseo’s Justin Ford finished with a 361 series, and Aidan Grafft added a 340 series.

The Leafs’ Ethan Welfer landed with a 432 series, and Alex McAvoy finished with a 323 series.

Geneseo at Yorkville

Cones cracked the 600 in a three-game series again against the Foxes at the Yorkville Bowl Bowling Center, on Dec. 14.

Cones finished with a final game of 210 to finish with a team-high series of 600.

One bad team game cost Geneseo a shot at upsetting Yorkville in the team competition with the Foxes winning 3281-3021.

GHS’ Einfeldt stepped up with a 552 series, and Keller finished with a 502.

Rusk rolled to a 498 series, and Munoz finished with a 443 series.

Geneseo’s Durnell finished with a 426 series.

The Maple Leafs’ Grafft led the JV team with a 392 series, and Ford finished with a 349 series.

Geneseo’s Welfer rolled his way to a 348 series, and Kyle Hofer finished with a 314 series.

The Leafs’ Kody Brower tacked on a 301 series, and Jacob Endress finished with a 292 series.

Freeport Tournament

Geneseo finished 18th among a 20-team field at the Freeport Tournament at the 4 Seasons Bowling Center, in Freeport, on Dec. 16.

Rusk paced the team with a six-game series of 1074, and Cones wasn’t far back with a 1049 series.

Einfeldt rolled his way to a 927 series, and Munoz finished with an 833 series.

Geneseo’s Durnell finished with a 514 four-game series, and Ford added a two-game series of 207.

Sycamore at Geneseo

Cones had another outstanding showing following one pin shy of the high three-game series against Sycamore at Lee’s Lanes, on Dec. 18.

With three games above 200, Cones led the Maple Leafs with a 647 series, and he finished behind only Sycamore’s Kegan Palm 648.

Rusk rolled his way to a 586 series, and Einfeldt finished with a 477 series.

Munoz laned with a 436 series, and Durnell finished with a 389.

The Maple Leafs’ McAvoy finished with a 341 series.

The Geneseo JV team was led by Keller’s 521 series, and Endress finished with a 421 series.

Ford rolled to a 408 series, and Jack Sellers finished with a 339.

Carson McKeag tallied a pinfall of 313, and Riley DeCock finished with a 267.

The Maple Leafs will finish 2017 with the Dixon Toughman Tournament, at Plum Hollow, in Dixon, on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 9 a.m.
