Geneseo was clutch at the free-throw line making 9-of-15 to close out the close Northern Illinois Big 12 game.

The Maple Leafs’ Isaiah Rivera lifted Geneseo in the second half by scoring 14 points following the halftime break and finished with a team-high 22 points.

Geneseo’s Jarron Nordstrom helped keep the Maple Leafs out in front scoring eight of his 12 points in the first half.

Ty Johnson had a nice stat line making a 3-pointer and finishing 5-of-7 from the free-throw line, and Griffin Tracey finished with five points.

GHS’ Jacob McConnell and Mick Haverland each scored two points.

The Maple Leafs will hit the road again for a NIB 12 West clash against Ottawa on Friday, Jan. 19.
