The Geneseo gymnastics team bowed out at the Lincoln-Way East Regional on Jan. 29.

The Lady Leafs finished fourth (111.3) among a five-team field, and host Lincoln-Way East won the team title.

With the top five individuals advancing to sectionals in each event, Geneseo finished shy of advancing any individuals to the Sandburg Sectional on Monday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.

The Lady Leafs’ Caylie Hessler finished 10th in the all-around (29.0), and she finished with a team-best 13th-place finish on the balance beam (7.5).

Geneseo’s Brynn Johnson finished 11th in the all-around (28.2), and she had her best finish on the balance beam taking 14th place (7.5).

The Leafs’ Alexys Johnson finished 12th in the all-around with a 27.6 score, and she finished with a team-best 12th-place finish of 8.3 for her performance on vault.

Emma Heller finished 14th (26.9) in the all-around for Geneseo, and she had her best finish for her floor routine taking 18th (7.6).

A senior, the Lady Leafs’ Madison Koustas finished 15th in the all-around competition.

Koustas had her best performance on the uneven bars finishing 20th (4.6).
