A junior, Pobanz rolled a 1251 six-game series at the LaSalle-Peru Regional tournament, at the Illinois Valley Super Bowl, in Peru, on Feb. 10.

Pobanz finished ninth overall, but one pin separated her from a place among the five advancing individuals not already on an advancing team.

She rolled a 249 game in her third game of the day to put herself in position for an individual qualifying spot, and she tacked on a 212 game to start the final three games at sectionals.

United Township’s Sky Stoutt claimed the last individual qualifying spot with a 1252 series.

Pobanz finished 10th overall at the Rock Island Regional tournament with an 1165 series to advance to the sectional meet.
