GHS’ Henkhaus and Bruce Moore are making a habit out of meeting each other in the final rounds.

Henkhaus defeated Moore by decision 3-0 in the third-place match of the 120-pound bracket at the IWCOA Sterling Sectional on March 4.

Last week, the duo meet in the Morrison Regional final with Henkhaus nabbing the title by decision.

Henkhaus won his opening-round match by pin in 2:49 before being knocked into the consolation bracket.

A sophomore, Henkhaus earned a 10-0 win by major decision to advance to the third-place match.

A freshman, Moore won his opening-round match by pin in 2:47 before he was topped in the semifinal match by a 5-4 decision.

Moore nabbed a 3-2 victory by decision to advance to the third-place match.

Geneseo’s Tuggle finished third in the 126-pound bracket with a pin in 3:00.

A freshman, Tuggle won his opening-round match by pin in 4:12 before being defeated in the semifinals.

Tuggle earned a spot in the third-place match with a 9-3 win by decision in the consolation bracket.

The Maple Leafs’ Allen finished third with a 5-1 victory by decision in the 182-pound bracket.

A sophomore, Allen won his opening-round match by decision 10-6 before being defeated in the semifinal round.

In the consolation bracket, Allen nabbed a 1-0 win by decision to land a spot in the third-place match.

Geneseo’s Stohl battled his way back through the consolation bracket to fourth place at 220 pounds.

A sophomore, Stohl reached the third-place match with a pin in 3:32.

The Geneseo wrestlers advanced to the IWCOA state finals at the BOS Center, in Springfield, on March 11.
